What should I be looking for when shopping dark LVT flooring?

We know our products look great, but take the time to consider if darker flooring will suit your rooms. Darker LVT tends to work best in larger spaces, as dark colours on floors & walls can make rooms feel cosier/smaller. We’re finding that many customers opt for looks like the darker LVT herringbone planks that add warmth and character to bedrooms, bathrooms & home offices.

You’ll also want to think about usage. LVT is made to be a hard-wearing product – one that can take more than a few bumps and be highly water-resistant.

If you plan on having LVT replace an older floor you’ve taken up, and that floor is concrete/stone/wood, darker LVT planks with underlay built-in will save on installation time. We always highlight on the product page if the LVT has underlay built-in. If not, you’ll find an underlay option here to use over concrete and timber.

If you’re installing LVT in different rooms or having the tiles meet different floor types from room to room, make sure you have a suitable door bar too. Darker shades tend to have customers opt for walnut or silver bars.
